Raymond Noal Lorance, 88, of Opdyke , Illinois, passed away at 11:27 pm April 4, 2023 at his home.

He was born September 29, 1934 in Lacon, Illinois to the late Noal and Frances (Deneen) Lorance. In 1954, Raymond married Carolyn Sue Rash and she preceded him in death in 1989. He later married Betty (Bradley) Scott on  in Opdyke, Illinois and she survives.

In addition to his beloved wife, Raymond is survived by his daughter, Diana Lynn (David) Kilpatrick; stepdaughter, Tina (Mike) Caudle; sister, Dolly (David) Jones; son-in-law, Carl Voyles; sister-in-law, Pat Brake; grandchildren, Daniel Voyles and Jennifer Voyles; step-grandchildren, Laithe Caudle, Kortni Johnson, Telysa (Shawn) Dulaney, Krista (Adam) Dennocour, and Christopher (Corrinna) Caudle; great-grandchildren, Tysia Rice, Erich Voyles, and Amaya Voyles; 15 step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and first wife, Raymond was preceded in death by his children, Sue Elaine Voyles and Robert Michael Lorance; daughter-in-law, Connie Lorance; grandchildren, Adam Lorance and Alyssa Lorance; sisters, Judy Carney, Iona Goista, and Gertrude McGrellis, brothers-in-law, James Carney, John Goista, Howard Buckingham, Harold Brake, and John McGuilles. Raymond enjoyed farming, wood working, and doing yard work, especially mowing. He loved being outside when he could. Most of all, Raymond cherished the time he shared with his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Visitation will be held Saturday, April 8, 2023 from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm at Newell Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois. A Graveside will follow at Crisel Cemetery in Dahlgren, Illinois at 3:00 pm with Reverend Thomas Hunter officiating. Interment will take place following the service.
