SANDOVAL — Rick Wilmoth, Sr. gained his heavenly reward on February 18th, 2023 after a long battle of illness surrounded by his family. He was born on November 2nd, 1955 to Rev. Bill and Joy Wilmoth. Rick married the love of his life Sandra Spitler on July 15th, 1976 in Sandoval.

Rick was an avid fisherman, and Cardinal fan, and loved to watch his westerns. Rick spent his life in many different aspects, he served as a Pastor for the Sandoval Apostolic church for 25 years. He was a tremendous preacher and an excellent piano player. Rick was a butcher by trade, learning at a young age how to manage a business.

Rick is survived by his mother Joy Wilmoth of Odin, son Ricky Wilmoth, Jr. and wife Crystal of Sandoval, granddaughter Mackenzie Raye of Sandoval, brother-in-law Kelly Spitler of Evansville, IN, many nephews and nieces, bonus brothers: Bill Kern of Salem and Tom Marcketti of Sandoval, bonus daughter: Jessica Morris of Sandoval, and special friends: Rev. Wayne and Judy Cralley of Mount Vernon, and Rev. Gary Blackshear and family.

He was preceded in death by his father Rev. Bill Wilmoth, his wife Sandra (Spitler) Wilmoth, brother Bill Wilmoth, and two infant brothers.

Per Rick’s wishes, there will be no services and cremation rights will be accorded. He will be laid to rest at Peaceful Valley Cemetery at a later date. Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home and Cremation Services is proud to be of service to the Wilmoth family during this difficult time.
