CENTRALIA — Kevin Vince Miller, 65, of Centralia, Illinois, passed away at 7 p.m. Monday, January 9, 2023, at his home in Centralia, Illinois.  He was born on January 30, 1957, in Mount Carmel, Illinois, the son of Harry G. and Marjorie V. (Downs) Miller.

Kevin is survived by his loving family, children, Lesley Miller of Centralia, Illinois, Erica Miller and boyfriend Douglas Dodson of Centralia, Illinois, and Andrew Miller and wife Angel of Colorado; grandchildren, Alexis Gross and husband Matthew of Pontoon Beach, Illinois, Peyton Marcum and boyfriend Andrew Roberts of Centralia, Illinois, Graedon Dodson of Centralia, Illinois, Tegan Miller of Colorado, and Hollyn Miller of Colorado; and sister, Vickie Trimble of Mount Carmel, Illinois.

Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Miller and Marjorie Miller; and brother-in-law, Brad Trimble.

Kevin truly enjoyed music, collecting rock and roll and blues vinyl albums, and playing his guitar.  He enjoyed reading books, especially books of History and Horror. Kevin was an avid fan of the Saint Louis Cardinals and he never missed one of their games, watching them on the tv or listening to them on the radio.  He loved to ride his bike to every place he needed to go.   Kevin was very handy and very good with his hands, doing woodwork in his home, building cabinets and doing other home improvement projects.  Kevin would do anything to help anyone out.

After moving to Centralia in 1978, Kevin was a mail sorter for the U.S. Post Service for twenty years.  He was then employed with Martinizing One Hour Cleaners for eight years, and a stocker for Borowiak’s IGA in Centralia, Illinois, for five years.  He retired at the age of sixty-four from the maintenance department at Walmart in Centralia, Illinois, after four years of service.  He graduated with Mount Carmel High School’s “Class of 1975.”He lived most of his life in Centralia, Illinois.

It was the wish of Mr. Kevin Vince Miller to leave this world quietly with no public visitation.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in Mr. Miller’s honor and received by the Moran Queen-Boggs Funeral Home at 134 South Elm Street in Centralia, Illinois.
