SALEM — Brenda K. Karrick, 67, of Salem, Illinois passed away December 2, 2022, at Salem Township Hospital.

She was born September 8, 1955, in Salem, the daughter of Charles “Charley” and Genoa Brown.

Ms. Karrick chose simple cremation. There will be no public service. Burial will be private.

Brenda worked for several years in housekeeping at the Quality Inn and Suites. Previously she had worked for Brown Shoe Company in Salem. She loved her family and playing BINGO at the Salem Community Center with her sister.

She married Sammy L. Karrick, on April 6, 1973, in Salem and he preceded her in death.

Survivors include her children, William Karrick and James Karrick both of Alma, Terry Wimberly of Salem, Matthew Karrick of Indiana, Alica Stroup, Elizabeth Karrick and Amanda Karrick all of Salem; siblings Dicky Brown of Kentucky, Elmer Brown of St. Louis, MO, and Mary Phillips of Salem, along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
