CENTRALIA — Deidra J. Sledge, 55, of Centralia passed away Sunday, October 9, 2022, in her home.

Deidra was born July 18, 1967, in Centralia, the daughter of Eddie Wayne Nelms and Carolyn (Martin) Nelms. She married Terry Sledge on November 1, 1989, and he survives her in Centralia.

In addition to Terry Sledge, her husband of 32 years, Deidra is survived by her parents: Eddie and Carolyn Nelms; her son: Zackery Sledge and wife Kelsey of Columbus, IN; her daughter: Sara Sledge and significant other Corey Anderson of Odin; three grandchildren: Hunter, Carter, and Avia Anderson; one brother: Kevin Nelms and wife Mindy of Centralia; one sister: Sherry Hays and husband Donald of Centralia; and several nieces and nephews.

Deidra was preceded in death by her grandparents: Emery Martin, Margret Martin, and Dora Mae Myers, and her in-laws: Brenda and Larry Sledge.

Deidra worked as a Department Manager for Big Lots for over a decade. She loved animals. She loved life and her family. She was a caring wife, mother, and grandmother. Deidra will be dearly missed by those that knew her.

A visitation for Deidra Sledge will be held from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. Friday, October 14, 2022, at Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia.
