CENTRAL CITY — “Scari” Sherri Holder, 65, of Central City, passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia.

She was born July 5, 1957, in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of David Holder and Beatrice (England) Holder. Sherri and Nancy (Switzer) Fritts have spent 38 years of their life together and were married in July of 2011 in Central City.

In addition to her wife: Nancy Fritts of Central City, she is also survived by a nephew of Texas; special bonus children: Kim Velpel and April Smith of Centralia, Deana Belcher of Patoka, Gregg Christian and wife Carla of Centralia, Kathy Albert and husband Ray of Centralia.

She was preceded in death by her parents: David and Beatrice Holder and her brother: Randy Holder.

Sherri worked at Graphic Packaging for 34 years and retired in July of 2022. She was a member of the Centralia V.F.W. Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing darts, golf, pool, and softball. Sherri was also an avid St. Louis Cardinals Fan. She totally enjoyed mowing, working outdoors, and gardening. She was passionate in assisting with charity events. Sherri would sing in the bar, while enjoying her Miller Lite. She never knew a stranger and she was very devoted to her family and friends.

Per Sherri’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and a Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
