CENTRALIA — Karen A. Bivens, 70, of Centralia, passed away Friday, September 30, 2022, at her home.

She was born December 23, 1951, in Centralia, the daughter of Bert Schiller and Dortha (Tuel) Aldrich Schiller. She married William Bivens, Sr. on March 12, 1983, and he preceded her in death on November 26, 2019.

In addition to her mother: Dortha Schiller of Centralia, she is also survived by her four children: Michelle Baker of Centralia, Billy Bivens, Jr. and wife Linda of Odin, Tom Bivens and Carolyn Looman of Salem, and Yvette Peters and husband Kevin of Linn, Kansas, 25 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; one sister: Dortha Claridy of West Frankfort; one brother: Don Aldrich of Rockford; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father: Bert Schiller, husband: William Bivens, Sr., son: Little Jack, a son-in-law: Jerry Staats, a sister: Janet White, and two brothers: Nelson Aldrich and Kenneth Aldrich.

Karen worked as a CNA, then later became a homemaker. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals Fan. She enjoyed reading, her flowers, and listening to music, especially Elvis Presley. Karen cherished the time she spent with her family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her pets.

A private family service for Karen Bivens will be held at a later date.
