WEST CITY — Police in West City say human remains found Sunday morning in the 900 block of West Washington Street are those of a West Frankfort man.

According to police, 35-year-old Ryan Halaska was last seen in the area where his remains were discovered at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 7.

An autopsy was performed Thursday morning in O’Fallon, Illinois and results are pending at this time.

Police say foul play is not suspected.
