CENTRALIA — Six people have been arrested in connection with the beating Monday of a 15-year-old Centralia juvenile male near the intersection of Kell and McKee streets in Centralia.
According to Centralia police, the victim was reportedly beaten around 5:15 p.m. Monday by members of a local gang known as CBN. He received severe injuries to his face, head, and lower extremities.
The victim’s grandparents took him to the Centralia Police Department and EMS was called to provide him treatment.
The victim provided police with a written statement and some of those believed involved in the beating were taken into custody when arriving at school Tuesday morning at both Centralia Junior High and High School.
Eighteen-year-old Keion Dalton of Centralia was the only one of the six brought in who is an adult. He was arrested for alleged aggravated battery and mob action.
The four other individuals included one 13-year-old, two 14-year-old, one 15-year-old, and one 17-year-old.
The four were also arrested on charges of aggravated battery and mob action. They were taken to the Franklin County Juvenile Detention Center to await court appearances Wednesday.
