PATOKA — The Marion County Coroner’s Office is reporting the death of a 20-year-old Patoka man in a side-by-side crash early Monday morning.

Around 11:08 Sunday night, Hunter Jolliff was reportedly driving the side-by-side when he missed a curve on Gerrish Road south of Patoka. The side-by-side traveled through a ditch and overturned, continued through the ditch and came to rest about 40 feet out of the creek. Hunter was pronounced dead at the scene.

His 18-year-old brother Beau Jolliff, also of Patoka, was reportedly a passenger on the side-by-side and was taken to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia where he was treated and released.
