MARION COUNTY — Centralia police arrested a 24-year-old Centralia woman on multiple charges Monday afternoon for allegedly attacking another resident at the Midtown Motel.
Imani Kaufman was formally charged Tuesday in Marion County Court with Class X felony home invasion causing injury, Class 4 felony criminal trespass, and misdemeanor battery.
According to police reports, Kaufman knew the woman staying in the other room and was upset with her for becoming involved with her boyfriend during her last stay in jail.
Kaufman reportedly kicked in the door to the other woman’s room, scratched her on the neck, and attempted to choke her. The other woman did not need medical treatment.
