ALTAMONT, IL — A 38-year-old Bonnie woman is the last remaining defendant in an Effingham County Court case stemming from the stabbing of two Marion County women at a motel in Altamont. Kristina Anderson was the only person who ultimately was charged in connection with the double-stabbing of sisters Victoria Rhodes and Natasha Rhodes last year.
When police went looking for three suspects in the double-stabbing, they ultimately tracked down Kristina Anderson and Blake Miller to a motel room in Mt. Vernon. Detectives reportedly found a large quantity of meth, heroin, and fentanyl in open view in the room. They applied for and received a search warrant for the room and Miller was additionally charged in Jefferson County. Miller was originally charged with Class X felony delivery of between 15-100 grams of methamphetamine but ultimately pleaded guilty to a reduced Class 1 charge in exchange for a 10-year prison sentence.
Anderson is expected to enter into a plea agreement at her next court hearing on August 24 on her two Class 3 felony charges of aggravated battery for allegedly stabbing the Rhodes sisters.
