MT. VERNON, IL — Two Mt. Vernon residents were ejected from their vehicle during a rollover crash on Richview Road near I-57 during around noon Tuesday. According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department. a tire is believed to have blown on a pickup truck being driven by 58-year-old Rick Kiselewski of Mt. Vernon causing it to roll over multiple times.   

Both Kiselewski and his passenger 51-year-old John Brooks, also from Mt. Vernon, were ejected from the truck. Both men were taken to SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital for treatment. Brooks was later transferred to a St. Louis Hospital.

Jefferson Fire Protection District firefighters and Litton’s Ambulance were both called to the scene to assist the victims.
