MARION, IL — Marion Police have released more details regarding Tuesday’s bank robbery at Peoples National Bank on 17th Street in Marion.
Police say after the suspect robbed the bank, he got into a 2004 to 2012 Chevy Colorado single cab pickup truck which he had previously parked in a nearby parking lot. The suspect drove eastbound on 17th St. towards I-57 and evaded capture by responding police. The suspect vehicle is damaged in several areas. You can see pictures of the vehicle with this story on our website’s local news page. Marion Police hope that someone will recognize this vehicle and contact them.
