PATOKA, IL — The Marion County Sheriff’s Department is investigating an attempted burglary at the Fast Stop gas station in Patoka early Thursday morning.

The glass on a door to the business was apparently broken out around 12:29 a.m. Thursday in an attempt to gain entry to the building.

However, video surveillance shows a single male running from the building when an audible alarm went off.

Nothing appears to have been taken and entry does not appear to have been made.
The incident remains under investigation.
