Geraldine Ridenhower, 93, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 1:40 am September 1, 2021 at Mount Vernon Countryside Manor. She was born September 22, 1927 in Delta, Missouri to the late Oscar and Myrtle (Braddy) Pruitt. Geraldine married Robert “Joe” Ridenhower on March 21, 1947 in Piggot, Arkansas. They were blessed with 61 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on December 13, 2008. Geraldine is survived by her son-in-law, Kelly Statler of Perryville, Missouri; grandchildren, Kirk Statler of Louisville Kentucky and Lori Cole and husband, Jon of Saint Louis, Missouri; great-grandchildren, Lily and Nora Cole; niece, Rhonda Casteel and husband, John of Bowling Green, Kentucky; and sister-in-law, Anne Pruitt of Stockton, California.  In addition to her parents and beloved husband, Geraldine was preceded in death by her daughter, JoAnn Statler; sister, Gladys Hill; and brothers, Hershel Pruitt, Emmit Pruitt, Clell Pruitt, George Pruitt, Curtis Pruitt, Bud Pruitt, and Ferrell Pruitt. A Graveside Service will be held Thursday, September 9, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Bloomfield Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Mr. Marty Mills officiating. Interment will follow.
