Larry Dean Seidel, 72, of Mt. Vernon passed away at 7:05 P.M. on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at the Nature Trail Health Care Center in Mt. Vernon.

Mr. Seidel was born in Mt. Vernon, IL on March 25, 1949, the son of George and Opal (Lambert) Seidel.

He married Diane (Davis) in 1968 and she preceded him in death in 1979.

He owned & operated Seidel Excavating in Ina. He was an expert at his profession. He loved people, he was always the life of the party. He always drew a crowd wherever he went.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, Wife and by a Brother-Roy.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, September 4th at the Johnston Funeral Home in Ina with Pastor Short Sledge officiating.  Entombment will be in the Oakwood Cemetery in Mt. Vernon. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. on Saturday at the funeral home.
