SALEM, IL — A 34-year-old Kell man recently arrested in connection with a burglary to a Salem business was arrested early Saturday morning in connection with a separate incident of attempting to crawl through the window of a Salem home. Beau Morton was taken to the Marion County Jail following his arrest but was later released with a notice to appear in court.

According to the Salem Police Department, they responded to a report of a man trying to climb through the window of a home on North Ohio. The suspect had reportedly left the scene before officers arrived.

However, Morton was spotted nearby and was taken into custody.  At the time of his arrest Saturday, he was free on bond from an earlier arrest accusing him of illegally entering the Coaches Corner in Salem.

He was next scheduled to appear in court on that charge August 4th.
