INA, IL — A water rescue happened at Rend Lake Saturday evening.

According to Franklin County Emergency Management, a man was on a vessel and went into the water.

A water rescue response was initiated by Sesser Fire, Benton Fire and Franklin County Emergency Management. Citizens that were in the area were able to get the man back onto a watercraft and was then towed in to Dam West Boat Launch. The man was not injured.
