MARION COUNTY, IL — A 19-year-old Centralia woman had to be extricated from her vehicle after a one car crash on IL Route 161 in Marion County Thursday morning.
Illinois State Police say Rosalyn Dewey was Westbound on the extension west of Buchannan Rd. when her vehicle left the roadway and struck a utility pole on the front and rear driver’s side door. Dewey sustained serious injuries and was cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle, driving too fast for conditions, and improper display of registration.
Kell Fire Protection District had to extricate Dewey from the vehicle and Tri-County Electric crews were called to replace the power pole she hit around 11:43am.
