SALEM, IL — A positive identification has been made in the case of a Kentucky man’s dead body found in a Salem, Illinois creek Sunday afternoon. The Marion County Coroner reports 39-year-old Aaron C. Hall of London, KY was first seen by people looking at property behind Howell Paving near the Industrial Park around 2pm.
Authorities were called to the scene and discovered Hall’s body in a creek that flows behind the Industrial Park and under U.S. Highway 50. The Salem Fire Protection District also responded to the scene to help remove the body from the creek and place it in the Marion County Coroner Troy Cannon’s possession pending an investigation. Hall had reportedly been missing since October of 2020 and a definitive cause of death was not reported after the autopsy Monday.
