Jerry L. Luschen, 70, of Texico, passed away at 1:50 p.m. Thursday, February 11, 2021, at his home.

He was born June 17, 1950, in Toledo, Ohio, the son of Kenneth and Betty (Kohler) Luschen.  On July 13, 1974, in Belleville, he married Nancy Germann, and she survives in Texico.

Jerry graduated from Roy C. Start High School, and served in the United States Air Force.  He was the owner of JLN Enterprises, where he installed garage doors for many years.  He attended Panther Fork Missionary Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, Nancy Luschen of Texico, he is survived by one son, Steven Luschen and wife Meagan of Newnan, Georgia;  one daughter, Jessica Anderson and husband Brandon of Carterville, Illinois;  four grandchildren, Brianna and Brycen Anderson, and Lily and James Luschen;  two sisters, Beverly Bonnough and husband Darrell of Perrysburg, Ohio, and Cheryl Nakakura and husband Dean of Pearl City, Hawaii;  and a brother-in-law, Roger Germann and wife Sheila of O’Fallon, Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Betty Luschen.

Funeral Services for Mr. Luschen will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 15, 2021, at the Osborn Funeral Home in Dix, Illinois, with Rev. John Ashby officiating.  Attendees are asked to wear masks and follow social distancing guidelines. Burial will follow at Panther Fork Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. (Noon) until the hour of service, Monday, at the Funeral Home.  Memorial gifts be made to a Veterans Charity of the donor’s choice, and will be accepted at the service, or by mail to the Osborn Funeral Home, P.O.
