Peggy Irvin, 78, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 10:56 pm January 26, 2021 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion, Illinois. She was born November 28, 1942 in Mount Vernon to the late Joseph and Edith (Boswell) Stover. Peggy was married to Don Irvin and he survives.

Peggy is survived by her grandchildren, Leah Winkleman and husband, Daniel of Woodlawn, Illinois and Allison Marcelle Sucherman and husband, Jacob of Lakewood, Colorado; and great-grandchildren, Paxon and Dayton Winkleman.

In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her children, Julia Goree and Bruce Carr.

Peggy worked as a flight attendant for TWA and also worked on several international flights. She was a faithful member of Saint Mary Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Peggy’s greatest joy was spending time with her family. She was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew and adored her.

A Graveside Service will be held Monday, February 1, 2021 at 10:00 am at Oakwood Cemetery in Mount Vernon with Father Joel Seipp officiating. Interment will follow. Memorials may be made in Peggy’s honor to the Jefferson County Animal Shelter or a charity of the donor’s choice.
