Marvin S. Austin, 91, of Mount Vernon, Illinois stepped into Heaven on December 25, 2020 at Mount Vernon Countryside Manor.  He was born June 28, 1929, in Farmingdale, Illinois to the late Ivan Hershal and Iva Estella (Tucker) Austin.  Marvin married Ruth Huston on October 14, 1950, in Mount Vernon, Illinois and she preceded him in death.  He later married Barbara (Rathert) Austin on November 2, 2002 in Campbell Hill, Illinois.

A Graveside Service for family only will be held Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at 1:00 PM at East Salem Cemetery in Mount Vernon, Illinois with Reverend Richard McCormick officiating. Full Military Rites will be held at the cemetery. Interment will follow. Memorials may be made in Marvin’s honor to East Salem Baptist Church.Please remember to observe social distancing at this time. We are limited to 10 people in our building at a time.
