Wilma Jane Hayes, 83, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 6:00 pm December 4, 2020 at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon, Illinois. She was born September 15, 1937 in Mount Vernon, Illinois to the late William Delbert and Rosie May (Gates) Rapp. Wilma married Edward G. “Ed”  Hayes on January 10, 1964 in Mount Vernon, Illinois. They were blessed with fifty-two years of marriage before Ed preceded her in death on July 14, 2016. A Graveside Service will be held Thursday, December 10, 2020 at 10:00 am at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens in Woodlawn, Illinois with Pastor David Shores officiating. Interment will follow. Memorials may be made in Wilma’s honor to the Hayes Family in care of Staci Johnson.Please remember to observe social distancing at this time. We are limited to 10 people in our building at a time.
