SOUTHERN ILLINOIS — State Senator Dale Fowler has partnered with the Southern Illinois Community Foundation to award $750 grants to seven local student groups to promote filling out the 2020 census.

The seven groups include the Gallatin County Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America, the Hardin County FFA, the Pope County FFA, the Massac County 4-H, the Alexander County FFA, the Pulaski County FFA, and the Johnson County Student Council.

Fowler says having students get involved in promoting the census is a win-win.

The deadline to fill out the census is September 30th.
