CENTRALIA — Kaskaskia College has announced a member of the school’s baseball team has tested positive for coronavirus, while a second player has returned home to isolate while he awaits the results of his test.
President George Evans says both players were living in the apartment building across from the main campus and that those in two apartments are on self-quarantine for 14 days because of close contact.
The students have been switched over to complete remote learning until their quarantine is over.
Also in response to the positive test, workouts for the baseball team have been suspended until further notice.
The National Junior College Athletic Association has delayed baseball season until spring.
