CARBONDALE, IL — Five people are facing armed robbery and other charges after Carbondale Police responded to an armed robbery around 1:45 Wednesday afternoon in the 700 block of East Main.

According to Carbondale Police, the victim reported being battered with a firearm and robbed. The suspects fled the scene in a blue SUV. Officers quickly located the suspect vehicle and arrested all five occupants in the 400 block of South Wall Street.

Police arrested 29-year-old Dakota Miskelley of Marion, 27-year-old Brent Odum 27 of Marion, 25-year-old Tommi Burnett-Miner of Carbondale, 30-year-old Nichole Swann of Marion, and 24-year-old Alexis Wagner of Herrin. The investigation revealed that the suspects and victim are all acquaintances.

Miskelley was charged with armed robbery and a Pope County warrant. Swann was charged with conspiracy to commit armed robbery and a Franklin County warrant. Odum was charged with armed robbery and unlawful use of a weapon by a felon. Wagner was charged with conspiracy to commit armed robbery and possession of methamphetamine. Burnett-Miner was charged with conspiracy to commit armed robbery. All five arrestees were lodged in the Jackson County Jail.
