She was born April 30, 1929 in Ewing, IL to Murrell and Evelyn (Harris) Combs.  She was a retired fabric store operator.  Irene married Goerge W. Martin on July 12, 1946 and he survives.

Irene is survived by her husband, George W. Martin of Seagraves, TX; daughter, Judy Millenbine of Seagraves, TX; two grandchildren: Lewis Millenbine and Lori Smith, both of Lubbock, TX; four great grandchildren: Cade and Cutter Millenbine, Bobby Garza and Travis Smith; and one great-great grandchild, Everett Garza.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, George P. Martin; and two brothers: James and Benny Combs.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at the IOOF Cemetery in McLeansboro with Bob Brockett conducting the service.  Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 11 from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at the Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro.
