Barbara L. Shafer, 88, of Sycamore, Illinois, passed away at 7:20 pm August 7, 2020 at Dekalb County Rehab and Nursing Home. She was born February 13, 1932 in Mount Vernon, Illinois to the late Bert and Marie (Murdach) Helverson. Barbara married Rowland C. Shafer on August 20, 1948 in Mount Vernon, Illinois.

A Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at 10:00 am at Union Chapel Cemetery in Texico, Illinois. A Graveside Service will begin at 11:00 am with Reverend Elton “Bud” Storey officiating. Interment will follow.
