JEFFERSON COUNTY — Although delayed because of the coronavirus pandemic, 2019 real estate tax bills in Jefferson County will be mailed soon.
Jefferson County Treasurer Bob Watt announced that the bills will be mailed by August 10th, the first installment of the bill is due September 10th, and the second installment will be due November 10th.
With the ongoing concern for public safety during the pandemic, Watt is encouraging residents to use one of the county’s remote payment options, including online, over the phone, or by U.S. Mail. Taxes can still be paid at the Treasurer’s Office at the county courthouse as well.
Watt says the office is once again offering paperless billing and a pre-payment option for this year’s tax bill payable in 2021. If you have any questions, you can call the Treasurer’s office at 244-8010.
