CENTRALIA, IL — A 31-year-old Centralia man was taken into custody early Thursday morning by FBI agents investigating what authorities called a “credible threat” of violence they received Wednesday.
According to Centralia Police Chief Greg Dodson around 5:30a.m. Thursday, LaShawn Wilks was taken into custody by FBI agents on federal charges alleging possession of multiple firearms by a felon, and possession of methamphetamine and heroin.
An FBI High Risk Team executed the search warrant at a residence in the 300 block of North Maple in Centralia and Wilks was taken into federal custody.
