HARRISBURG — The Harrisburg City Council approved moving forward on the Ledford Street Improvement project at Thursday night’s meeting.
The Motor Fuel Tax Resolution was approved and will cost about $400,000.
Also at Thursday’s meeting, the council approved advertising bids for a new police car for Police Chief Michael Riden. Harrisburg mayor John McPeek says that purchase will be covered by insurance as the current car recently caught fire and caused extensive damage to the vehicle.
The council tabled action on waiving May water bills for non-essential closed businesses, citing more time needed to research and execute the plan.
The council also cancelled the next meeting scheduled for May 7th. They will reconvene on Thursday, May 21st at 6 p.m. at Harrisburg City Hall.
