JEFFERSON COUNTY — A Centralia teen has been charged in connection with an armed robbery at a convenience store in Mt. Vernon in April of 2019.
Although 18-year-old Kiandrea Donald was 17 at the time of the incident at the Huck’s Convenience Store at the corner of 33rd and Broadway in Mt. Vernon, he is being charged as an adult in Jefferson County Court with aggravated robbery indicating he was armed with a firearm.
Mt. Vernon Police responded at approximately 6:30 a.m. on April 13, 2019 to a report of an armed robbery at the Huck’s location. Upon police arrival, they found that two black males had reportedly entered the business, one of them armed with a firearm. The offenders took an undetermined amount of cash and also took an employee’s keys before leaving the scene.
With the work of Mt. Vernon and Centralia detectives, they identified Donald as one of the suspects in the incident. A warrant was issued for Donald’s arrest and he was picked up by Jefferson County Sheriff’s Deputies. He is currently being held at the Jefferson County Justice Center.
