WEST FRANKFORT — The Frankfort Community Unit School District #168 accepted the resignation of Amanda Tinsley from the school board at its rescheduled regular meeting Tuesday night.

According to Superintendent Matt Donkin, Tinsley resigned as she and her family are relocating.

After an Educational Spotlight moment recognizing the Central Junior High School DUSO club’s work in becoming a Unified Champion Schools Program participant as they assist other students; the Board heard no public comments, approved the minutes and the bills, and heard the regular reports.

Board members also held the second reading of revisions and amendments to Board policy and approved them, amended the public school calendar to note the usage of one emergency day to this point, approved FCHS Graduation for Thursday, May 14, 2020, and CJHS Graduation for Friday, May 15, 2020, heard a presentation from Baysinger Architects with the results of the programming study for Master Planning of Future Potential Renovation, Addition, and Construction of FCHS Facilities, authorized the superintendent to request proposals for photography services at FCHS and convened in closed session from 6:55 to 10 p.m.

In other personnel matters, the board approved Brady Mayer as a volunteer Assistant Baseball Coach at FCHS, Samantha Finn as a volunteer Assistant Softball Coach at FCHS, accepted a letter of resignation from Daniel Miner, ACR teacher at FCHS, authorized the superintendent to post the Board of Education vacancy.
