CARMI, IL — A Carmi man is facing drug and motor vehicle charges following an early Sunday morning traffic stop for having an expired registration sticker at the intersection of Oak Street and Lexington Avenue in Carmi.
Carmi Police say their K9 conducted a sniff of the vehicle and alerted to the presence of drugs in the vehicle. A probable cause search resulted in finding a small amount of improperly transported cannabis.
The driver, 22-year-old Blake A. Duvall, was arrested and issued citations for operating an uninsured vehicle and possession of adult use cannabis in a motor vehicle.
According to the police report, Duvall bonded out of the White County Jail later in the day Sunday after paying his $100 bond on the cannabis charge plus a $20 booking fee.
