JEFFERSON COUNTY — A Bluford woman is behind bars after a reported home invasion incident over the weekend.

Mt. Vernon Police arrested 38-year-old Rhiannon Cates Tuesday night on probable cause in the incident Saturday.

Jefferson County Sheriff Jeff Bullard says the incident took place at a home in the 2100 block of N. Tank Lane just outside of Centralia. Cates is accused of forcing entry into the home, damaging property, battering a resident in the home, and stealing some household items.

Cates is being held at the Jefferson County Justice Center on a charge of home invasion with a dangerous weapon.
