WILLIAMSON COUNTY — A Murphysboro man was sentenced in Williamson County to four years in state prison after pleading guilty Monday to Aggravated DUI – a Class 2 felony.

Williamson County State’s Attorney Brandon Zanotti says on Nov. 11, 2017, 37-year-old Jeremy D. Boens was arrested after being pulled over for erratic driving by a Carterville police officer. He was issued a DUI, which was his third DUI violation, making it a felony.

Boens was ordered to obtain an alcohol evaluation and undergo any recommended treatment from that evaluation and must serve two years of mandatory supervised release following his release from prison.

State’s Attorney Brandon Zanotti would like to thank the Carterville Police Department for their vigilant patrolling efforts.
