MARION COUNTY — Marion County Coroner Troy Cannon has released the identity of the victim in the homicide discovered Thursday in rural Centralia.
39-year-old Clendar Edmond was discovered by Marion County Sheriff’s Office personnel searching to confirm a report of an earlier homicide.
Five people have been arrested for felony murder and felony robbery in connection with the case. Those arrested include 53-year-old Cardell Thomas, 30-year-old Krystal Scerba, 28-year-old Blake Shahan, 27-year-old Darleedria Flippen and 26-year-old Mantez Duncan.
Marion County Coroner Troy Cannon says a forensic autopsy was conducted Friday at the Champaign County Coroner’s Office that confirmed the cause of death was a homicide.
Bond for Thomas, Shahan, Flippen, and Duncan was set Monday in Marion County Court at $1 million each. Scerba’s first appearance in court is set for Tuesday.
