MARION COUNTY — A motion was filed Monday in Marion County court seeking medical testing of a 24-year-old Centralia man charged with battery of a police officer.
Eric Palazzolo was arrested by Centralia police over the weekend. He was formally charged in court Monday with two Class 2 felony counts of aggravated battery of a peace officer. The court then filed a motion to have Palazzolo tested for infectious diseases.
Bail for Palazzolo was set at $25,000 and he’s scheduled for an October 22 preliminary hearing and first appearance with a court appointed attorney.
