CENTRALIA, IL — The Centralia Police Department’s High-Risk Team and the Illinois Law Enforcement Alarm System (ILEAS) Special Response Team executed a search warrant Friday at a home in the 600 block of East Seventh that resulted in the arrest of a 42-year-old man on drug and theft charges.

According to Police Chief Brian Atchison, Charles Hayes was taken to the Marion County Jail on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of stolen property.

Atchison says officers located suspected Oxycotin and a scooter that had been reported stolen out of Wamac approximately 2 months ago.
