SOUTHERN ILLINOIS — No, you’re not crazy. That is a giant hot dog making the rounds all over Southern Illinois. The Oscar Mayer Weinermobile will be visiting several Kroger locations across downstate Illinois this weekend.

The Weinermobile will be at the Mt. Vernon location from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, West Frankfort from 2 to 5 Friday, at the Marion location from 10 to 1 Saturday, in Herrin from 2 to 5 Saturday, the Murphysboro location from 10 to 1 Sunday, and finally the Carbondale location from 2 to 5 Sunday.

Residents will be able to see the Weinermobile in person as well as take photos, get stickers and iconic Weiner whistles.
