Shirley McGehee went to be with her Lord in heaven on August 5, 2019.

Shirley was born on May 26, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois to John Homer and Reba (Stone) York.  She married Jerry McGehee on February 26, 1956 in Springerton, IL and he survives.  Shirley was a devoted member of the Springerton Community Church and was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She was a retired employee of the Hamilton Memorial Hospital Dietary Department in McLeansboro. IL.

Shirley is survived by two daughters: Pam Tullis of Springerton, IL and Patty (Alan) Blazier of Carmi, IL; one son, Tim (Tammy) McGehee of Enfield, IL; grandchildren: Chanse Tullis and Heath (Tina) Tullis, Billy McKitrick, Crystal (Jason) Stallings, Calan and Cole Blazier, Melissa (Troy) Bagley and Jason (Jenny) Woodrow.  Eleven great grandchildren also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the Springerton Community Church with the Rev. Jack Stone officiating.  Visitation will be Wednesday, August 7, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. at the Springerton Community Church.  She will be laid to rest at Hammack Cemetery in Springerton, IL.
