CLAY COUNTY — A 38-year-old Flora man in the Clay County Jail following his arrest Thursday for the alleged intent to deliver methamphetamine.
Clifford Ryan Cammon was arrested following an ongoing investigation by the Flora Police Department, Clay County Sheriff’s Office and the Southeastern Illinois Drug Task Force along with the assistance of the Clay County State’s Attorney’s Office.
A search warrant was obtained and served at a residence in Flora on Wednesday and resulted in Cammon’s arrest. He was formally charged Friday in Clay County court with Class 2 felony delivery of less than 5-grams of meth and Class 4 felony possession of a controlled substance.
Cammon’s bail was set in court Friday at $50,000 and a preliminary hearing was scheduled for August 12 with his court appointed attorney.
Cammon was a coach for girls softball in Centralia.
