CENTRALIA — Centralia police have made two more arrests in connection with the May shooting death of 13-year-old Jaden Krauss.
According to police, a 13-year-old and 15-year-old juvenile were arrested Tuesday for obstruction of justice for allegedly destroying evidence in the case.
The two had been questioned earlier in the case but had not been taken into custody.
Police say they had waited to arrest the two juveniles until a 15-year-old who had confessed to shooting Krauss in the head had been sentenced, in case additional evidence was brought forward. He was sentenced last week to the maximum 5-years in juvenile detention for killing Krauss.
The two arrested Tuesday are accused of helping to clean up the blood from one of the bedrooms of the home in the 100 block of South Pine in Centralia where Krauss was killed, as well as disposing of the gun that still has not been found.
They were initially taken to the Marion County Jail Tuesday before being transported to the Franklin County Juvenile Detention Center in Benton. They’re expected to make their first appearances in court Wednesday.
