Iva L. Walker, 88, of Mount Vernon, Illinois passed away at 1:33 P.M.May 31, 2019 at SSM Good Samaritan Hospital In Mount Vernon, Illinois. She was bornSeptember 20, 1930 in Greenvile, Missouri to the late Harry Rainwater and Jennie White. She married Ernest Junior(Red) Walker on December 11, 1948 in Piggot, Arkansas. They were blessed with nearly 39 years of marriage until he preceded her in death on October 10, 1987.

Iva is survived by herone son, Roger Walker and wife, Freda of Woodlawn, Illinois; four daughters, Diana Anderson of Bloomington, Illinois, Kathy Willis and friend, Paul Pfister,Linda Lee and friend, Dennis Smith, and Carla Ellis and husband Bobby, all of Mount Vernon, Illinois; eleven grandchildren, Roger Walker, Jr., Julie Bullard, Susan Wilmore and husband, Clint, Farrah Hagan and husband, Rich, Tim Anderson and wife, Amber, Jeremy Likens and wife, Emily, Tommy Twiggs, Jennifer Twiggs, Elizabeth Hodge, Christian Ellis and wife, Macey, and Shania Ellis; ten great grandchildren, Jeffrey Bullard, William Bullard, Kambria Wilmore, Richie Hagan, Jabe Hagan, Brodie Likens, Liam Likens, Thomas Twiggs, Tristian Moore, and Lincoln Ellis; one sister, Freda Starks of Warrenton, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.

Iva was preceded in death by her Parents, husband, one son, Larry Walker; five brothers; two sisters; and Son-in-law, Mark Willis.

Iva was a member of the Marco Pentecostal church in Mount Vernon. She enjoyed watching her birds in the yard, especially Cardinals. Iva will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

A Visitation will be held from5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois. A Funeral Service will be held at1:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at Hughey Funeral Home with Brother Alan Smith officiating.  Interment will follow atWolfe Prairie Cemetery in Mount Vernon, Illinois.Memorials may be made to Walker Family.
