CENTRALIA — Centralia Fire Protection District personnel, along with Life Star Ambulance, Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies, and Centralia and Central City Police responded to a two-vehicle accident in the 1700 block of East Green Street Road, just east of Ross Road early Sunday morning.

Preliminary reports indicate both vehicles were traveling together east on Green Street when the trailing vehicle attempted to pass and lost control, running into the front vehicle forcing both to leave the south side of the highway and roll several times each. One ended up in a nearby field, the other along the road.

Both drivers were taken to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital for what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.
