Alicia Ann Brown, 49, of Mount Vernon, Illinois passed away at 2:02 A.M.April 30, 2019 at Her residence in Mount Vernon, Illinois. Shewas bornin Mount Vernon, Illinois to Oscar Gover and Sandra Heil.She married Gregory Gerard Brown in Mount Vernon, Illinois on February 14, 2000.

In addition to her husband , Gregory Brown,Alicia Brown is survived by hertwo children, Gregory Brown, Jr. and wife, Christanna of Walnut Hill, Illinois, and Brittney Brown and fiancé Russell Braddy of Mount Vernon, Illinois; two granddaughters, Jayleigh Brown and Jacelynn Brown;siblings, Wade Heil of Mount Vernon, Illinois, Susan Smith of Mount Vernon, Illinois,Kimberly Taylor of Indianapolis, Indiana, Faye Taylor of Owensboro, Kentucky, Donnell Hill of Dallas, Texas, Angela Gordon of Indianapolis, Indiana, Darius Goverof Indianapolis, Indiana, Candace Cook of Greenbelt, Maryland, Joy Collaso of Iraq, Crystal Mack of South Bend, Indiana, Angel Thomas, Eric Hawthorne, Oscar Brown, Nikita Hughes, KeyonnaGover, and Orlando Gover, all of Mount Vernon, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.

Alicia was preceded in death by her mother, Sandra Heil, and two siblings, Barbara Littles and Cameron Gover.

Alicia worked as a Teacher’s Assistant at the Jefferson County Regional Office of Education. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

A Visitation will be held from12:00P.M. to 1:30 P.M. Friday, May 3, 2019 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois. Interment will be held at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens in Woodlawn, Illinois . Memorials in honor of Alicia Brown,  may be made to the Brown family, in care of Gregory Brown.
