Garry Dean Quinn, 71, of Mount Vernon, Illinois passed away at 12:50 A.M. April 17, 2019 at Marion VA Medical Center in Marion, Illinois. He was born November 11, 1947 in Mount Vernon, Illinois to the late Robert Lee and Vona (Reynolds) Quinn.

Garry is survived by his daughter, Doni Baker of Vandalia, Illinois; two grandchildren, Ashtin Harrison of Edwardsville, Illinois and F. Kegan Tessman and fiancée, Olivia Fladeland of Vandalia; two sisters, Mary F. McKowen of Mount Vernon and Patsy E. Tucker of Sycamore, Illinois; andstepdaughter, Dani Reis and husband, Tim of DeLand, Illinois.

In addition to his parents Garry was preceded in death by his two brothers, Jerry Quinn and Billy Quinn and his brother-in-law, Nolan McKowan.

Garry proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam conflict.  He worked as high school janitor and was a member of the Bonnie Holiness Camp and the Mount Vernon VFW Post #1376.  He was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew him.

A Memorial Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, April 28, 2019 at South Hickory Hill Cemetery in Mount Vernon, Illinois with Revenerend Gary Davenport officiating. Memorials, in Garry’s loving memory, may be made to South Hickory Hill Cemetery.
