SALINE COUNTY — A Harrisburg man wanted on a warrant out of Saline County for attempted first degree murder and aggravated battery stemming from a July 2018 shooting of a man at a Harrisburg home was taken into custody without incident Wednesday afternoon by Harrisburg Police with help from Saline County Sheriff’s deputies.

Officials say 33-year-old Alexander McWilliams was also wanted by the Illinois Department of Corrections for a parole violation.

McWilliams is lodged in the Saline County Detention Center without bond.
